Once strongly associated with London's river trade, Bermondsey was bombed heavily during The Blitz, resulting in waves of post-war housing. While modern development and cultural influences from around the world are infusing the local area like most of central London, Bermondsey retains connections with its past through a core population of long-term residents.
Bermondsey Bees community cricket sessions are predominantly for children attending Boutcher, Grange, Riverside, St James', St Joseph's George Row and Tower Bridge Primary Schools.
WINTER:
Harris Academy Bermondsey, Southwark Park Road, Bermondsey, SE16 3TZ.
