Blackheath is a traditionally affluent district centred around one of the largest areas of common land in London and straddling the boundary between Royal Greenwich and the London Borough of Lewisham. Conversely, Lewisham Central is one of the most deprived and ethnically diverse areas of South East London. It also has the highest levels of crime in the borough.
Blackheath Honeybadgers community cricket sessions are predominantly for children attending All Saints, Brooklands, John Ball, Morden Mount, Prendergast Vale, St Margaret's Lee, St Matthew's Academy and St Saviour's Primary Schools.
