Greenwich is famed for its naval history and hosting the Royal Observatory - the place "where time begins" (the meridian line). It is also an area of contrasts with Victorian and Edwardian surrounded by the greenery of Greenwich's Royal Park, pockets of deprivation in east Greenwich and 21st century apartments surrounding the O2 Arena on the formerly industrialised peninsula.
Greenwich Giants community cricket sessions are predominantly for children attending Christchurch, Halstow, James Wolfe, Meridian, Millennium, St Alfege with St Peter's, St Joseph's, St Mary Magdalene Primary Schools.

Despite never having played before, Ali has developed an infectious enthusiasm for cricket, supporting coaches & classmates alike.
