INTER SCHOOL FESTIVALS FINALS DAY 2025

On Tuesday 2nd June, Primary Schools from across London navigated Tube Strikes and braved the rains to gather at the Kent County Ground in Beckenham, for the Platform Cricket Schools' Finals Day.

From the 38 winners of regional festivals in 2025, a depleted field of 17 arrived to dark skies and torrential rains - but thanks to our resilient teams and their dedicated teachers, our determined staff, and our wonderfully understanding hosts at the Kent Cricket Foundation, play got underway 90 minutes later than planned.

Everyone's patience paid-off, as some fascinating match-ups featuring some high quality cricket played-out.

As the group stages completed, Bessemer Grange, Rathfern, Moreland, Mossbourne Riverside and former champions, Our Lady of Grace progressed as group winners, with St Stephen's, Beecroft Garden and Allen Edwards joining them as the best runner-ups.

After being given a big scare by Morelands in their quarter-final, Our Lady of Grace were run extremely close by Bessemer Grange in their semi-final, but booked another final slot. Meanwhile, Mossbourne Riverside had relatively comfortable wins against St Stephen's and Beecroft Garden to join them.

Some fearsome strikes and a battery of fine bowlers secured a comprehensive 58 run victory for Mossbourne Riverside who secured the title and took the trophy back to Hackney for the first time.
