Sydenham is split into "upper" and "lower" areas along a gradual incline towards Crystal Palace, considered the fourth highest point in central London. Upper Sydenham still bears the characteristics of the affluent Victorian suburb it once was, whilst Lower Sydenham and the areas overlapping into Perry Vale feature significant social housing and a large retail park.

Sydenham Sonics community cricket sessions are predominantly for children attending Adamsrill, Alexandra Jnr, Eliot Bank, Haseltine, Holy Trinity, Kelvin Grove, Kilmorie, Our Lady & St Philip Neri, Perrymount, Rathfern, St Bartholomew's, St George's and St Michael's Primary Schools.

WINTER:
Forest Hill Boys' School (Sports Centre), Brampton Road, SE23 2XN.
SUMMER:
Mayow Park, Mayow Road, SE26 4JA.

Each week our coaches identify a PLAYER OF THE WEEK from the 4,000+ children we work with, as a recognition of their talent, efforts or improvement.
This week's PLAYER OF THE WEEK Award goes to Daniel from St John's Walham Green Primary School in Fulham, Hammersmith & Fulham.
Daniel was excellent in his sessions last half term, showing great coordination in developing his own skills, but always helping classmates with theirs too.
